Editing suggestions: Did she grow up in Syracuse or Geddes? Be more clear. You call her husband both Joseph and John - which is it? (Your reference http://www.women-philosophers.com/Ellen-Mitchell.html makes the same mistake.) In general, you need to clean up your prose to make it tighter, grammatically correct, and clearer. The part that was removed by another editor - "Her philosophies have mostly been very similar to the ideas of other philosophers. This is something that other philosophers have commented on, that it is a regurgitation of other philosopher’s beliefs." - is actually interesting, if you can add the source where you found it. Make sure you couch it in terms of: there's been some controversy surrounding the importance of Mitchell's work, with some philosophers criticizing it as mere regurgitation of other philosopher's beliefs (cite). This article was the subject of an educational assignment in 2013 Q1. Further details were available on the "Education Program:University of Cincinnati/Philosophy and Women (Summer 2013)" page, which is now unavailable on the wiki.
Chelsea, I tried to move your article to the main Wikipedia space, but there is already a page with the name Ellen Mitchell. I have to figure out how to create a disambiguation page. VanessaPirateV (talk) 17:46, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
I renamed it Ellen Mitchell (philosopher) to move it to the main Wikipedia space. Vanessa PirateV (talk) 19:03, 25 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
