TWA Flight 800

edit

Should the TWA Flight 800 disaster be listed under incidents? Just because the last complete flight of the aircraft originated in Athens doesn't connect the airport in any way to the crash which occurred after the flight arrived in New York and then departed JFK en route to Paris. Though there was a lot of cynical speculation at the time of some sort of security breach in Athens which may have led to the plane crash, this was never proven and is especially unfounded because similar security claims were never made against JFK airport, where the doomed flight originated. I feel that this incident should be removed from the Ellinikon International Airport article. Neoellinas 03:32, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed park text largely removed

edit

It looks like the grand metropolitan park will never materialize; accordingly I removed the paragraph that explains the design in detail. I added a sourced statement about the gov't intention to commercially develop the site. I also removed other statements that appeared obsolete, as well as the strange statement that Ellinikon has not been used as an airport since it was closed (er, because it was closed, right?) Airport Today

edit

Here you can find pictures of the (rotten) airport as it looks today. Maybe Someone could add a picture from that slideshow to the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:908:E272:2000:A466:9511:6FA4:91E3 (talk) 08:02, 27 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
