Synonymy of Ornithomimus elegans with Chirostenotes

edit

Sues (1997) demonstrated that Ornithomimus elegans Parks, 1933 is a junior synonym of Chirostenotes. Therefore, remove Elmisaurus elegans from the Elmisaurus page and place it in synonymy with Chirostenotes.

Sues, H.-D. (1997). "On Chirostenotes, a Late Cretaceous oviraptorosaur (Dinosauria: Theropoda) from western North America." Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, 17 (4): 698-716.

Good enough for me, as long as there are no more recent publications that still argue for placement in Elmisaurus.Dinoguy2 00:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

By a single source, we need to wait a few years to judge if there is any agreement from other researchers. FunkMonk (talk) 03:26, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Agreed with FunkMonk, we need consensus to act. There is not a consensus to lump. IJReid {{T - C - D - R}} 23:57, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
