editElyse did not make this page and I'm not even sure she even knows about it. I met her once at one of her shows and she was really nice to me. I'm learning HTML in university so I am trying to learn about Wiki so I made a page about her. Her shows are popular here in Beijing. I am not so good at HTML so the page is not so good but I can assure you she did not make the page. Lajex (talk) 06:25, 24 February 2009 (UTC)User:Lajex

I cleaned up substantial vandalism, but noticed that the article was created by the person in question. Zhwj (talk) 07:43, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Is this Elyse Ribbons notable enough for a wiki page? I think not, especially given that she had to create it herself... (219.142.245.179 (talk) 14:56, 11 February 2009 (UTC))
the fact the subject created the page herself call her significance into question. search engine queries do not return any dramatic works of note. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gwangqq (talk • contribs) 09:34, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Notability
editAs much as I think she's a good egg, I can't see the notability here. Of the references provided the only one that's actually about her is her Forbes page - and one page by itself does not support notability. I see there was also a previous move to delete this page for the same reasons without notability having been established in the meantime. The WSJ interview also does not appear to establish notability - merely having been an interviewee does not establish that you are notable. The same goes for the Sino-US site (which is anyway a blog and not a reliable source under the rules of Wiki). FOARP (talk) 13:41, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Deserving of place
editElyse Ribbons does not appear to be deserving of a Wikipedia page. She has not worked in any major capacity on noteworthy media projects and the language on the page "can be recognized in pictures at the Beijing Olympics" does not appear to meet the criteria needed for a page. Would recommend deletion. DarthElbow (talk) 11:52, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
