Are there any good references showing that his single term came about during the time most white, ex-Confederate Mississippians were disenfranchised, and blacks were actually being allowed to vote, and his loss was due to the ex-Confederates being re-enfranchised and the blacks subsequently being (illegally) disenfranchised? 2600:1004:B160:CABB:C8C7:A78A:4020:C98A (talk) 22:54, 6 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
