The result of the move request was: No consensus to move. The situation is complicated. No consensus developed. A later proposal might gather more support, but three different people chimed in and not one ended up supporting. (non-admin closure) Red Slash 01:48, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Embassy of Myanmar in Washington, D.C. → Embassy of Burma in Washington, D.C. – Per Burma/Myanmar. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 05:17, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
Support per WP:CRITERIA (consistency in particular). --BDD (talk) 21:40, 22 October 2013 (UTC)- Oppose I think different considerations apply to this article than to the article about the country. We are here talking about a government institution, so what the government calls it is more relevant. Most importantly, no evidence has been provided that the embassy (as opposed to the country) is more often referred to using "Burma" than "Myanmar", and my brief web searches, while less than conclusive, do not support that notion. - You may be on to something. While articles with titles containing "Myanmar" are mostly sport topics, we do have Category:Diplomatic missions of the Republic of Ireland, which contains articles such as Embassy of Ireland in Washington, D.C. --BDD (talk) 14:38, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Consider me neutral. --BDD (talk) 23:30, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment If this is moved toward Burma, shouldn't it be "'Burmese embassy' in Washington, D.C."? Seems far more natural to me. Note these books search results--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 14:33, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
