Circulation
edit"It has since become the most widely read British Muslim magazine." - maybe, but not included in criculation data! http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=48769&c=1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.79.50.60 (talk) 16:32, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Emellogo.jpg
editImage:Emellogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Now defunct
editEmel has not been published for two months short of three years, with the last of the monthly issues being January 2013 (http://www.emel.com/article?id=109&a_id=2951). Yes the website is still online, but even that has not been updated. So we cannot use the present tense to describe the magazine. We need to put it in the past tense. Past or present tense
editI used this logic to place a clause in the past tense ("Emel's name came from the letters "M" and "L"): When one puts the phrase “the name came from” into Wikipedia’s search engine, it returns 235,755 hits, whereas one the phrase “the name comes from” into the search engine, it returns 215,076 hits. So it seems reasonable to place the naming of a defunct magazine in the past tense. George Custer's Sabre (talk) 15:10, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
