  • ... that Emelia Quinn argues that "monstrous vegans" have recurred in literature since Mary Shelley's Frankenstein? Source: This is effectively a one-line summary of her 2021 book. But see, e.g., this review, in the journal Humanimalia: "In Reading Veganism: The Monstrous Vegan, 1818 to Present, Emelia Quinn delves into this abhorrence for veganism, analysing representations of what she terms the “monstrous vegan” in literature. Quinn’s task is to recuperate these monsters. Taking Frankenstein’s monster as the prototype, she theorizes monstrous veganism as imperfect, campy, and generative."

Moved to mainspace by J Milburn (talk). Self-nominated at 08:53, 7 December 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Emelia Quinn; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.   The article is new enough and long enough. The article is of decent quality. No issues with copyright. I don't have access to the book but there are no issues with the review given as a source. However, before I can pass the nomination, a QPQ is needed. Llewee (talk) 13:34, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
