In my opinion, this article either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it is a Copyright violation.

Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to verify any claims of notability. Even though the lack of reliable source attribution in an article is not grounds for deletion in itself, an article with absolutely no sources (or only external links to unreliable ones) suggests to some editors that multiple reliable sources may not, in fact, exist.

Although I am considering tagging this article for deletion according to the Deletion policy, I am nonetheless willing to assist User:ArleArt (talk · contribs), and other recent contributors to this article, to make constructive improvements to it ... I do not have time to examine this article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

Please respond on this Discussion page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. —72.75.72.63 (talk) 08:36, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

If he is actually in MOMA and MMA, he is unquestionably notable. That should be sourcable. DGG (talk) 22:14, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Good call ... actually, I was just sticking these {{Warn-article}} tags on around a dozen articles PRODed by Some Other Editor in a effort to start dialogs such as this ... I didn't bother to read most of them except to see if they are still alive, so that I would put the correct value in the {{WPBiography}} tag. :-) —72.75.72.63 (talk · contribs) 22:31, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Quick google search of "Emilio Sánchez Font" shows only 8 wiki=ghits and 2 cuban g-hits. Nothing on google news or google scholar. I'd think there would be "something" on him (even a program note, collection list, etc), if he was actually in these major galleries. MBisanz talk 00:48, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Shotz! Don't you just hate it when that happens? :-) —72.75.72.63 (talk) 00:55, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Revised to Emilio Sánchez (artist)

edit

The artist is question is known professionally, and is included in the MoMA and Met Collections, as Emilio Sánchez (without his mother's names). I will revise it over the next week or so. HeatherBlack (talk) 11:54, 19 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Spelling

edit

In the possessive case in English, a Spanish surname ending in "-ez" or "-es" just takes an apostrophe without an additional "s", e.g. Emilio Sanchez' artwork.

NOT Emilio Sanchez's artwork which is nonsensical and next to impossible to pronounce. —justinacolmena (talk) 18:40, 26 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
