He also made a special guest appearance with Jennifer Lopez at the opening of the FIFA Women's World Cup in September 2014 There was not a Women's World Cup in 2014.SecretName101 (talk) 19:43, 10 July 2017 (UTC) @SecretName101: Lopez performed at the Men's World Cup 2014 in Brazil and at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2012 in Baku, Azerbaidjan. She also gave a concert in Baku where Agalarov was her opening act. Mix them all up and you get Agalarov performing with Lopez at the Women's World Cup in 2014. Bizzare how somebody made such a giant conflation. Thanks for figuring out what was actually the kernel of truth there.SecretName101 (talk) 11:49, 13 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Father Aras Agalarov - Moscow 2013 miss universe

edit

Miss universe went to Moscow in 2013 due to Emin's father Aras Agalarov

The sources say that Aras, who had previous contact with Donald Trump Jr, asked Rob Goldstone to contact him

Actually, Emin is involved. Although both Emin and Aras know the Trump family, Emin was directly involved in the campaign-related discussions.
The first source in the removed text mentions Emin. The NYT source could be a bit clearer about which Agalarov, but it says "Mr. Goldstone represents the Russian pop star Emin Agalarov, whose father was President Trump’s business partner in bringing the Miss Universe pageant to Moscow in 2013. In an interview Monday, Mr. Goldstone said he was asked by Mr. Agalarov to set up the meeting with Donald Trump Jr. and the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya."
Emin Agalarov is the first Agalarov mentioned in the article, so Mr. Agalarov refers to him.
Anyway, it's unambiguous in the emails, which I'll add as a source: "Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting." [1] Mattflaschen - Talk 02:04, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Widely popular?

edit

Lots of fan page stuff in this article, but rather meager record for someone "widely popular in Azerbaijan, Russia and Europe". I have found very little information on him as a performer outside of Russia (which is in Europe, BTW; the Siberian part of the Russian Federation is in Asia). There are a few articles on his quest to become an international star but when he played outside the former East Bloc he attracted hardly more than a few hundred listeners. At a concert in Berlin in 2015, for example, he had an audience of 1500 but most of them were Russians living in Berlin. Space4Time3Continuum2x (talk) 09:46, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
