Super Club vs Costco

I can confirm firsthand (original research, oh no!) that the actual store used as an interior and exterior set is a CostCo store in Albuquerque, NM. My mother has shopped there for years, and I am familiar with that particular store's layout and exterior. It was odd at first, seeing a movie shot in a location I knew intimately, but after it was weird, it was cool. So yes, the set was a Costco, and yes, the fictional store was a Super Club in the film. --BlueNight 00:09, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Profit margin?

"The movie, made on a $12 million budget, finished with a little over $28 million in the United States. Making a profit of more than $16 million." Uh, no. That's $16 million more than the budget, but if I'm not mistaken, that is NOT all profit for the studio. I'm assuming that $28 million is the gross. My understanding is that the theater takes a little less than half the gross, so only 55% of the gross goes to the studio that made the movie. So if "Employee of the month" grossed $28m, then it made about $15.4 revenue for the studio, which is roughly a $3 million profit.

Actually, it's much worse than that because no one is factoring in P&A, which for a movie like this is an absolute minimum of roughly $10-12 million. I won't edit the page, because frankly I don't have exact stats, but the film will be significantly into the red until it comes out on video. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.153.28.151 (talk) 01:32, 19 December 2006 (UTC).

I've gone ahead and edited out the "profit of more than $16 million" line. While I'm at it, I'm going to clean up the remainder of the sentence.

Cleanup

The plot summary is rather cluttered, has some trivial information, and uses some words that shouldn't be used for an encyclopedic article. (ex: screw, used in the sexual sense) Agreed? JSD324 02:07, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Superman Spoof Scene?

An expert from an Amazon.com user review: "Vince "rescues" a lost child and emerges from a haze of cold air that bursts out of a freezer-food door." This describes a slow motion scene that resembles rescues from Superman series, but I'm not certain. If anyone else is, it would make a suitable trivia item. Dewy2500 19:15, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Cleanup

There are references made to people in the first part of the plot (Russell) and are not mentioned or described before, just thrown in there as if everyone knows about them is. There are also some issues of parts of the plot not being clear or misinterpreted. I'd rather not make changes because my english ability is not that great.

"Promotion"

None of the information in that section is exceptionally notable; it's stuff done for many many films- actors on late night, "sneak peek" clips, etc, are all normal. Suggest the section be removed. 71.171.101.222 (talk) 02:19, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
