Neutrality of the article

edit

Hong Kong is certainly a place with rights for employees but the way this article was written looks more like a government's brochure.

That's because its' an almost complete lift from [1]. Luke! 07:25, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
No copyvio, so I removed from WP:CP. Horribly POV though. --Ars Scriptor 16:17, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hey, I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to copy documents verbatim into articles. Although there's no copyright infringement, using a single source to write an article is still plagiarism. Also, there's not much point linking to the source document as it's pretty much the same thing. Also, there is a POV problem though as this only represents the POV of the government.--Chuckygobyebye 08:25, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Use of $

edit

The symbol $ is used to describe GDP and wages without any reference to which country's dollars are being used. Is it to be assumed that $ in the GDP section refers to USD and $ in the wages section refers to HKD?

I dont agree all values should be in local currency with an exchange rate value in brackets. Enlil Ninlil 05:28, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Updates

edit

I updated the Overview paragraph, and deleted a paragraph from Employment Distribution (also updated) on income disparity as unrelated to the subject. Deleted paragraph: However, like many developed nations Hong Kong also faces a problem of income disparity. Though the accuracy of the Gini coefficient has been called into question, it does give an estimate of income inequality. According to World Bank statistics, in 2003 Hong Kong was at 0.52 which put it on the same level as Mexico or Russia.

I also updated the Wages section.DOR (HK) (talk) 08:48, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Abercrombie & Fitch: Hiring for Looks

edit

1.Why would Abercrombie & Fitch want to hire employees with a certain look?

2.From a business perspective, do you think this is a good idea? What about from an ethical perspective or a legal perspective? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.214.222.171 (talk) 07:40, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
