Duration of "Batu"

edit

When I added the song durations to this page, I took them directly from Allmusic's entry for Empros (a generally reliable source) which lists the length for "Batu" as 6:16. However, with this edit a user added the following footnote: "On the digital version, 'Batu' spans 10:06 with a drone transition." I can verify this since I have a digital copy, and this is the length of the song on my copy. The question now is whether the other half of this claim is true, or if Allmusic simply made an error. Can anyone with a non-digital copy verify the duration of "Batu"? Thanks! Fezmar9 (talk) 22:52, 3 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

There's an official quote at atpr. –Pomte 15:20, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Neither AfterthePostRock nor forums in general qualify as reliable sources. Fezmar9 (talk) 00:48, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I didn't link that with the intention of using it as a reliable source in the article. You seriously want a reliable source for a track duration after implying that self-verification by buying the album is good enough, and after providing a reliable source in Allmusic yourself? Is there a policy for this for the hundreds of thousands of album and song articles? Either way, you can email Sargent House yourself and get them to post it publicly. –Pomte 06:00, 15 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
According to Wikipedia's policy on verification, any material that is challenged requires verification. Typically, record labels make public any large difference between album versions. A four-minute longer track is kind of a large difference, yet Sargent House never made this public. Therefore, I am challenging this. I still don't see anything concrete to persuade me as a reader that this information is valid. Fezmar9 (talk) 12:15, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
The official download at the band's bandcamp page lists Batu as 10:06, while the preview stream at spin.com has Batu in a 6:16 version. 95.116.206.247 (talk) 16:46, 2 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
