Update request
editHas this facility reopened? If so, with what safeguards, modifications, etc? If not, article should now be in past tense.--Shantavira|feed me 12:51, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
The facility didn't reopen and is currently out of order so I changed the article to past tense. I live about 120km away from it so I can tell. [[1]] 22:02, 03 June 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.132.74.51 (talk)
I have updated the article to include the closure and demolition of the facility, track, and factory in 2011-2012.
It has now been demolished I believe, but cannot confirm, or find any relevant reference. Perhaps someone speaking German can search for references on German sites and include this?

According to the German article the demolition had not yet started by late 2014, due to disagreements over the extent of demolition (the foundations of the pylons), re-use of the track and lack of the 40M euros required. Updated (English) info is surprisingly hard to come by as most articles about the facility seems to date back to around and before the accident.
