edit"It was only the second theme park in the United States — Disneyland Park had opened the previous month."
This is actually not the case, Oakland, California's "Children's Fairyland" had opened before
either, and Walt Disney visited Fairyland prior to opening Disneyland in order to get ideas for
his new park. There is a Wikipedia article about Fairyland located at [1]
Whoa... Thanks to whoever put the link to the Enchanted Forest Preservation Society! I founded that group in 2003, before any of the Coldwell Banker action and before the Clarkland Farm involvement. We are frequently forgotten and I really appreciate the recognition in Wikipedia. -Etoile 02:45, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
I removed some outdated and unnecessary information about Clark's Farm. -Etoile (talk) 14:34, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Enchanted-forest.jpg
editImage:Enchanted-forest.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

editThe following statement:
Unlike many other attractions of the time, the Enchanted Forest was integrated from the day it opened.
is properly sourced with not one, but two references. User:WillC, as is obvious by the racist imagery of his user page, is insisting on removing this content. he is now being aided by another user, who is nitpicking the sources used, and (unwillingly?) aiding this user's agenda. It is difficult to WP:AGF when a user who attempts to edit-war over an entry detailing an amusement park's history of racial integration at a time when much of the United States of America was segregated has a symbol of hate and racism displayed proudly on his user page, and has a edit history dominated by such tactics. - As I have informed you on your talk page: Both of the sources you are using to support the above statement, http://www.nanalee.com/WebsitesAmerica/Nostalgia/EF-Pages/EF-History.htm and http://www.urbanatrophy.com/ are self-published and do not qualify as reliable sources. Please study the Wikipedia policy on verifiability before making further edits. If you again attempt to restore this material, it will again be removed by other editors on the basis of this policy. Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors. Mike Doughney (talk) 14:48, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- Your assertion of both sites being "self-published" is a red herring. The actions of User:WillC clearly violate WP:NPOV because he is removing facts from an article simply because he doesn't want attention brought to your country's long history of racial segregation. Stan Simmons (talk) 14:56, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- Good luck with that. If including the statement in this article is so important to you, I urge you to go make the effort to find an appropriate reference in a reliable source and then reinsert the statement with that reliable source properly cited. Until then, you should not expect such an obvious flaunting of Wikipedia policies to go without notice and reversion. Mike Doughney (talk) 15:01, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- Done. Special thanks goes to The Urbanite Magazine, which is more than credible as a source. I surmise that this historical whitewash from the pro-Confederacy will now cease. Stan Simmons (talk) 06:30, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
