This article was, and really still is, in pretty bad shape. It was incoherent at best before I found it, and I think the length of the quotes on the links are pretty excessive. However, while I know enough chemistry and thermodynamics to be dangerous (and enough to KNOW that I am dangerous), I don't have enough background to really clean this up. OK, what the heck is an "entropy burst"

edit

OK, so explain to me what the heck an "entropy burst" is - it is a term with which I am not familiar.

I find the additional material added to be very confusing - again, I'd like to see a bit more explanation for the lay person there. After all, that is what an encyclopedia is for. N0YKG 13:39, 5 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Most explosions create heat, such as fireworks, etc. Entropic explosions do not create heat. The explosion occurs because a small amount of explosive turns into a large amount of gas. The explosive has increased in entropy, and that is why it is called an entropic burst. Hope this helps. --24.16.148.75 00:19, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hahah "what the heck is an entropy burst" is exactly what I said to myself, and why I came to the talk page to see what it means. Sounds like something the author made up.117.19.183.44 (talk) 17:29, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
