Early environmental history
editThe history of New Zealand from an ecological perspective by Geoff Park [1] describes early attempts to preserve stands of lowland native forest. I haven't got the book at hand but these efforts started in the late 1800s. RobbieIanMorrison (talk) 10:54, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
