I am inclined to quick fail this as there are a number of problems that are going to take time to sort out. For one thing, I think a good copyeditor needs to go over it before submission. Parts of the article read like they were written by a non-native speaker and the grammar is off. You can find a copyeditor at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests or else you can tag the article with {{copy edit}}.

However, that is not the biggest problem. Large parts of the article have no inline citations. I would be fine with general references, but you would need to explain which references contain the information. For instance, the history section has no inline references for dates or claims of discovery. These are the very sort of things for which inline citations are expected because they are so prone to being challenged.

The lead section needs some work. It is too short for the length of the article. The tables at the end need some description to explain to the reader what they are looking at and why the tables are there. SpinningSpark 14:30, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

By the way, I suggest that this should be renominated as a mathematics article rather than engineering and computing when it is ready for resubmission. That is a more appropriate category and you are more likely to get a knowledgeable reviewer. SpinningSpark 14:40, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
