Naming of the articles about the Eparchies
editI suggest to change the term Diocese to 'Eparchy' in the articles about the various eparchies, as in the Russian Orthodox Church (and the other Eastern orthodox churches) the term 'Eparchy' is used, it is equivalent to a diocese in Western Christianity - also the same term (Eparchy) is used in Wikipedia for articles about the relevant ecclesiastical units of the Georgian, Serbian and Ukrainian Orthodox churches. Rakoon (talk) 20:28, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- The fact is that on all English-language diocesan websites of the Russian Orthodox Church the word "Diocese" is used rather than "Eparchy". I've been working with these sites for many years, and I haven't seen the word "Eparchy" there. Actually, we need to rely on some external sources, what I have seen so far is evidence in favor of the word "Diocese". ~ Чръный человек (talk) 16:10, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
