COI Tag left on Epiphany Eyewear by JamesBWatson
editI received an email about this tag, and a COI message on my Talk page today from JamesBWatson with no explanation about the tag -- here or on my Talk page.
- There is no COI.
- I have been working on the Epiphany Eyewear article since May 2013. Epiphany Eyewear was created in July 2013.
- The COI tag was placed on the article's page without any specifics showing valid and reliable proof for the assumptions and accusations being made. Wikipedia Help stated the person placing the tag on the page is obligated to also explain why the tag was placed.
- Please refer to Talk page title "May 2013" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:301man#May_2013) as documentation of history with the subject.
- Everything I've done has been openly communicated online. For example, I have been in communication with Flickr account owners publicly in Comments regarding the use of images on the Epiphany Eyewear article.
- I have been in communication with Permission-Commons@Wikipedia.org about proper use of Flickr images, PDF files, and other procedures for properly editing the page. I've followed instructions.
- I have communicated via email with authors and publications to confirm information contained on the page. Permission-Commons@Wikipedia.org told me it was not necessary to do this.
- The Article's information is referenced using notable cites. There's nothing personal or self-made research included on the page.
- The content of the article is written using a NPOV. The article was cleaned up and edited prior to its creation, and then again, cleaned up thoroughly after it's creation to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
- I have left my Talk page in tact so readers of this page can see the hurdles I have overcome, not only with ongoing learning of the Wikipedia editorial process, but also getting this page created properly and according to Wikipedia content policies, rules and standards.
- I have read countless strings of conversations on Wikipedia, many of them being with editors writing about topics which they have a keen interest. I have not seen one of their articles with a COI tag. Yet, this work received a COI tag without any explanation.
Please tell me how to get the tag removed. I read in Help, anyone (including myself) can remove the tag if the article is clean and written according to Wikipedia's content policies. Is this true? Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you. 301man (talk) 01:57, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Way too many images
editThere are way too many images in this article -- for this size of an article there should only be one; two at most. All of these images make the article look extremely suspect -- promotional -- and not encyclopedic in the least. Plus the overly detailed captions need to go (or be trimmed) as well, in my opinion. - Softlavender Thank you for your help. Removed images and edited captions. 301man (talk) 01:53, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
