  • Initial comment
    • At a start, there are no reasons to quickfail; fairly obviously, this article is in good shape.
  • Production
    • "The episode introduces the character of Maddy Ferguson, the second role played by Sheryl Lee after Ferguson's cousin Laura Palmer." -- WP:SURNAME says after a name is given in full, the surname should be given thereafter. That said, "Sheryl Lee" and "Laura Palmer" should just be "Lee" and "Palmer".
    • "Lee had been a stage actor living in Washington, where "Pilot" was filmed, and had remained there after production moved to Los Angeles as she believed that, with her character dead, she would have no further part in the series." -- Link Washington and Los Angeles.
    • "Rathborne chose to open the episode with a shot centred on Sherilyn Fenn, finding the actress to be "seductive" and "absorbing" in similar manner to screen icon Marilyn Monroe." -- It should say "in a similar manner".
  • Broadcast and reception
    • ""Episode 3" was first broadcast on the ABC Network on April 19, 1990. -- MOS:ACRO says to write out the acronym's meaning in full with the acronym in parentheses after on first mention. That said, it should say "on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC)".
    • "Television Without Pity's Daniel J. Blau praised the episode's black humour, singling out in particular the scene in which Miguel Ferrer's character is punched after an argument in the town morgue. -- WP:SURNAME (only say "Ferrer's character").
    • "However, Blau was critical of guest stars Walter Olkewicz and Clay Wilcox, finding their attempted French-Canadian accents particularly poor." -- WP:SURNAME applies here as well.

v**"Writing for Digital Spy, Tony Delgado has also praised Ferrer's role as Albert Rosenfield, adding that his dialogue "may not appear to be the epitome of wit, but the way [Ferrer] delivered such lines caused plenty of howling hysterics in living rooms across the globe"." -- WP:SURNAME.

  • Footnotes
    • Due to many of the citations being print sources, I was unable to check most of them. However, I did check FN4, 5, 7, 16, 17, 19, 20, & 21; no plagiarism or copyright issues exist. The hopeful lack of copyright violations and WP:SYNTH in the unavailable sources is on the honor system.
    • Coinciding with the above, all reference links are intact.

Overall, very well put-together article. I am placing this on hold for the minor issues to be addressed. TRLIJC19 (talkcontribs) 18:50, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your review. I believe I've got everything, let me know if there's anything else that needs to be addressed. GRAPPLE X 21:32, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
