After being warned, contentious topics procedure can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Contentious topic sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

Christian communities in Syria categorization

@Supreme Deliciousness: Hi. Any reason why you think the article should be categorized as such? It’s for communities in Syria that are populated by Christians. This village was depopulated, but more pertinently, the article does not indicate its expelled inhabitants were Christians. —Al Ameer (talk) 19:35, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Christians lived in the village, whether if it was right before the expulsion or earlier doesn't matter. So the category "Christian communities in Syria" is correct. The category can be used for both current and former Christian communities in Syria. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 13:19, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

The category is specifically limited, as it was intended, to present Christian communities in (modern) Syria. If it were to include communities that were populated by Christians in ancient or medieval times then it would apply to hundreds more towns and villages and lose its purpose. At best we can create “Ancient Christian communities in Syria” or something along those lines to distinguish. —Al Ameer (talk) 13:45, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
