Chrysothamnus / Ericameria

edit

Moved Chrysothamnus nauseosus to Ericameria nauseosus and added four other recently reclassified species as well as some of the species previously placed in Ericameria. See the Chrysothamnus talk page for more information and links to sources. Walter Siegmund (talk) 06:33, 20 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Updated species list and organized into sections according to Roberts R.P. & Urbatsch L.E. 2003: Molecular phylogeny of Ericameria (Asteraceae, Astereae) based on nuclear ribosomal 3 ETS and ITS sequence data. Taxon 52 (2). That article cites (Roberts & Urbatsch, in press), most likely, Roberts, R. P. and, L. E. Urbatsch. 2004. Molecular phylogeny of Chrysothamnus and related genera (Asteraceae, Astereae) based on nuclear ribosomal 3ETS and ITS nrDNA sequence data. Systematic Botany . 29: 199--215. Ericameria nauseosA

edit

Please? Are taxonomists writing these articles or people who don't understand botanical latin? Or something else? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.165.210.161 (talk) 07:43, 14 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Corrected occurrence in taxobox image caption. Chrysothamnus nauseosus is correct.[1] --Walter Siegmund (talk) 04:22, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sagebrush

edit

A claim that these species are called sagebrush requires a reliable source, in my opinion. --Walter Siegmund (talk) 04:25, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Walter, always nice to see you out and about. As to the above comment: I agree and I doubt that it is called sagebrush often enough to justify the inclusion in the article. --Davefoc (talk) 07:06, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dave, thank you for your kind words and comment. Best wishes, --Walter Siegmund (talk) 00:38, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
