Grammys?

edit

I can't find any reference that supports this: "His work on On the Beach also won Gold a Grammy Award." He did win Grammys both for "Song of the Year" and for "Best Sound Track Album or Recording of Music Score from Motion Picture or Television" in 1960 for his work on the movie Exodus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.245.0.209 (talk) 02:52, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Removed Source

edit

I removed the following source because it is just a blog. It is not a reliable source of information. Also it doesn't contain the information it was supposedly citing.

Marni Nixon's Autobiography

edit

I removed the following sentence from the article because I could not find it in the book. I did not read every page of the book, but just searched for key terms in the search bar. If anyone finds evidence to support this statement, please include it back in the article. (Marni's Autobiography is now listed as a source with a link to the online Google version)

Nixon claimed in her autobiography ("I Could Have Sung All Night") that Gold was repeatedly unfaithful to her throughout their 19-year marriage. Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 20:25, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Andrée Golbin

edit

Andrée Golbin (1943-1947) was listed as a wife of Ernest Gold, but I cannot find supporting evidence. If anyone can find a source saying that they were married, please include the information. Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 20:30, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

– Highly notable film composer nominated for four Academy Awards and winner for Exodus (soundtrack). His entry had the sole such main title header from its creation in March 2005 until June 2011 when it was unilaterally moved to accommodate the stub for Ernest Gold (meteorologist), accompanied by creation of the two-man Ernest Gold disambiguation page. A hatnote for the meteorologist would suffice. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 19:40, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
