Appearance in Downfall
editNot much of a history buff here, all I know of this chap is from Downfall, where he is portrayed very sympathetically. I looked him up because I was wondering how accurate this is. Any more info on this guy? Was he the icon of kindness that he was in Downfall? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.158.124.170 (talk) 00:17, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Parsley is poisonous?
editFrom the article:
- During the creation of this plantation in 1938 over 100 people died, according to recollections of prisoners, mostly from overexposure to parsley.
I was unware that parsley was so dangerous. How exactly did it kill 50+ people? Gront 02:49, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- It isn't. It's 18.241.5.185's idea of a joke, along with the sausage-in-a-bun comment. Sadly, it's stayed here for 4 months. Paul B 02:23, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Dying from Tuberculosis
editAccording to the article, Schenck performed a number of operations instead of the more experienced Werner Haase, because the latter was dying from tuberculosis. However, Haase didn't die until November 30, 1950. Being sick from Tuberculosis may be bad enough, and a reason not to operate on people, but apparently he wasn't actually dying from it in 1945? `--Thf1977 12:16, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Fate after the fall of Berlin?
editNo mention of what happened to him after Hitler's death during the attempted escape of those who were in the bunker. Many were captured by the Soviets, interrogated, and sent to Russia. Does anyone know about Schenck? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.67.51 (talk) 01:05, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
1963 Report?
editExactly what report is this. A citation is needed, as well as more information about treating people like guinea pigs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.58.218 (talk) 22:29, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
False Citation on Schenck's Fate
edit"In the Federal Republic of Germany, Schenck was later not allowed to continue his medical career" - The citation offered does not mention this at ALL. Will remove unless a correct and authoritative citation is offered. --123.243.107.238 (talk) 12:08, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Post-war
editwhy is there no mention of his work with/at Grünenthal GmbH? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.84.46.68 (talk) 04:07, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
