The result of the move request was: Move and redirect to Spain. Jafeluv (talk) 06:09, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
España → España (disambiguation) – España could only refer to the country. Please speedy close this if it is uncontroversial. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 02:40, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- Support. I'm not sure about only but the country is the primary topic. Most other native names direct to the country (e.g., Polska, Soomaaliya, Zhongguo), though not all (Nippon, Éire, Bharat). — AjaxSmack 03:20, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- Comment. I think this deserves a discussion, no speedy. Coincidentally, there is a similar request at Talk:Nippon. Would like to see these handled in a consistent manner. Wbm1058 (talk) 17:23, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

- Support. A look at the article traffic stats from May (random month) shows that the disambiguation page had nearly 19,000 views, while all the non-Spain articles on the dab page combined had just over 6,000. Even if we were to assume that every single view of the non-Spain articles came via the dab page, that leaves more than twice as many readers looking for something besides those dab page articles. It seems likely that very many of those people were looking for Spain. A hatnote at that article should be sufficient. Dohn joe (talk) 18:02, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Support: seems to be standard practice (from a sample comprising Deutschland (which has a particularly elegant hatnote), Italia and Österreich), and reasonable. PamD 16:54, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
