Failed "good article" nomination
editThis article has failed its Good article nomination. This is how the article, as of June 4, 2021, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: A lot of copyediting is needed to bring this up to a professional level of writing, along with organization issues. There's quite a few sentence fragments that make for a disjointed reading experience.
- 2. Verifiable?: Several sources have questionable reliability, such as the travel blogs (KolkataOnWheels, Inditales). Also, was "Martin & Co" the architect (as described in the infobox) or the contractor (as described in the history section)?
- 3. Broad in coverage?: The article is far too short and seems to leave out a lot of details, mainly describing the building's design and going into detail for its previous uses. For example, elaborating on the "American Library" would likely help with bridging a gap in the history section.
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Pass
- 5. Stable?: Pass
- 6. Images?: Pass
This article isn't quite ready for GA status without major improvements, so I'm afraid this will have to be a quick fail.
When these issues are addressed, the article can be renominated. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far.— SounderBruce 05:56, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
