Allmusic duplicate?
editThere is another entry at Allmusic which might relate but I am not familiar enough with Allmusic to know what to do with it:

Order of names in lede
editHi all, the present version of the initial sentence of the lede reads: "Stephen Quincy Reeder or Eskew Reeder, Jr. (November 20, 1935 – October 23, 1986), usually known by the stage name Esquerita, and occasionally as S.Q. Reeder or The Magnificent Malochi..."
It seems to me that Eskew Reeder, Jr. is the name by which he is most typically referred - e.g. in R Sacré - Encyclopedia of the Blues, Artists biographies, 2006, also in Little Richard: The Birth of Rock 'n' Roll, by David Kirby (e.g. p. 41: "Eskew Reeder, Jr. died of AIDS in Harlem, October 23"). So if no-one objects, I would like to suggest the following minor adjustment to the lede, namely: "Eskew Reeder, Jr. (alternatively, Stephen Quincy Reeder or S. Q. Reeder) (November 20, 1935 – October 23, 1986), usually known by the stage name Esquerita, and later "The Magnificent Malochi" or "Fabulash" ..."
Thoughts? If no objections, I will make the suggested adjustment in a few days. Regards - Tony Rees Tony 1212 (talk) 05:10, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- One usually reliable source - Eagle, Bob; LeBlanc, Eric S. (2013). Blues - A Regional Experience. Santa Barbara: Praeger Publishers. ISBN 978-0313344237, p.289 - gives his birth name as Eskew Reeder, Jr., the son of Eskew Reeder. Whoever contributed to his page at FindaGrave states, explicitly, "He was born with the name Eskew Reeder, Jr.", and his official Social Security information gives his name as Eskew Reeder. Although there are sites that refer to his birth name as "Stephen Quincy Reeder", I don't think any of them are reliable. I suggest that the name "Stephen Quincy Reeder" simply be removed.
