Requested move 24 October 2022
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved to Estádio Conde Rodolfo Crespi. As per discussed, current title and proposed title do not have a lot of support for them, thus the alternate consideration is implemented. (closed by non-admin page mover) – robertsky (talk) 11:07, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
Estádio Rua Javari → Rua Javari – Rua Javari is the WP:COMMONNAME, without the word Estádio Horcoff (talk) 15:43, 22 October 2022 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Extraordinary Writ (talk) 08:01, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, could you please show some evidence of that? I've had a look, and it's not clear to me. Dr. Vogel (talk) 20:00, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

- Hi, thank you for giving those links. I've had a look, and those show a mixture of the word in question being used and not. Also, the article on the Portuguese Wikipedia does have the word in the title. Dr. Vogel (talk) 05:28, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, that would either be the full stadium name (Conde Rodolfo Crespi - what the PT Wiki uses) or the nickname (Rua Javari). But since we're going for the nickname the "Estádio" preffix isn't used as you can see in the links. Media reports say "at Rua Javari" but not "at Estádio Rua Javari". The thing here is that the word Estádio is rarely, if ever, used with Rua Javari. Horcoff (talk) 06:17, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
- No, the Portuguese Wikipedia clear calls it "Estádio da Rua Javari" in the lead, and doesn't give the short form that you propose.[1]
- And the sources cited in the article plus the extra ones you've provided show a mixed picture.
- I don't think this is uncontroversial enough to be processed here as a simple technical request.

- Comment - firstly it is irrelevant what the Portuguese Wikipedia calls it, because we are the English-language Wikipedia and also because WP:WIKIPEDIAISNOTARELIABLESOURCE. I cannot access the first source above, the second is likely non-RS - but I do note that Soccerway calls it 'Estádio Conde Rodolfo Crespi' so I propose a move to Estádio Conde Rodolfo Crespi. - Move to Estádio Conde Rodolfo Crespi per GiantSnowman. Google maps also calls it that, and there isn't a lot of support for either of the two titles mentioned in the nom. — Amakuru (talk) 09:34, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
