Expert
editor check for say these aspects...
Medical procedure overlap with sociology (ethnic/race) scope. Issues WP:MEDRS, WP:SPINOUT, WP:NEO for transracial, WP:COATRACK, overlap with other articles, evidence for "look more or less like a particular race" (logically surely appearance change must be between races, as there's no race-neutral appearance). Fraught topic in spotlight needs check. (moved from expert tag due to ugliness) Widefox; talk 02:08, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Widefox: does this version of the article address your concerns? --MZMcBride (talk) 20:51, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
- I should explain there's no specific criticism, just think it needs some eyeballs. The new section Ethical Considerations may be a bit of a COATRACK to hang "transracial" on, which during the current polarised debate is something that needs eyes on. Happy to replace the tag with something more discrete or altogether, as long as the two sides can use the talk rather than edit warring over the content (which they haven't yet here) but may do if the other articles are deleted. The Expert tag can't be put in the section, else I would do. Widefox; talk 21:13, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
blepharoplasty...
editSeriously doesn't make you look white in the slightest - many Asians (primarily women) get the procedure to replicate the millions of fellow Asians who have a double eyelid/strong double eyelid. It does NOT make you look white. --109.149.120.84 (talk) 21:44, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
Michael Jackson
editin the "See Also" section, there's a link to an article called Health and appearance of michael jackson, the problem is that the link is titled "Racial Transformation of Michael Jackson", Michael said numerous times that he is proud to be african-american and was angry when he was told about a rumor that a white child was going to play him in a pepsi commercial, so it might be a bit tasteless to say that he changed his race.
