edit- Plantations owned by international paper producers ???
Most blue gum plantations are owned by tax-driven investment schemes. Rich business people and professionals can generate tax breaks by investing in planation schemes run by the Timbercorp and Great Southern Plantations companies. Eregli bob 07:32, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Eucalyptus bicostata
editIn an Botanical garden i take photo where are the tree named "Eucalyptus bicostata". I search to it and I find this is Tasmanian Blue Gum. It's an other name of Eucalyptus globulus or an other species? Can anybody help me? Thanks --Beyond silence 18:15, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- It is debatable. In 1998 the Flora of Australia treatment considered it a subspecies of Eucalyptus globulus, i.e. with the name "Eucalyptus globulus subsp. bicostata". But the 1999 Field Guide to Eucalypts considers it a species.[1] Hesperian 01:38, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
