"Alleged" serial killer
editI know that Butler's long dead, but shouldn't we give this guy some benefit of the doubt and refer to him as a "suspected" serial killer? The article doesn't suggest the existence of conclusive physical evidence affirming his guilt, and indeed none of the victims found have been identified. So we have means and opportunity, but not motive.
Obviously, the narrative benefits from the assumption of guilt, and yes, he's dead, so it doesn't violate any policies, but I still think it's unfair to assume Butler's guilt. I'd be interested to know what others think. Matuko (talk) 20:59, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
