I am confused by the notation that this article needs more third-party references to be credible. Surely the papers published by Dr. Opie in the peer-reviewed medical literature speak for themselves, vis-a-vis their validity...

On re-reading the editorial insertions in this article, I must take strong exception to the notes made by the Wikipedia editor(s). The listed references more than adequately substantiate the content of the piece, and the requirements for added citations seem utterly redundant. --Mrwick1 (talk) 00:27, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nowadays Eugene L.Opie's works are still actual, but I do not know how to pronounce his last name to my medical students and do not where can I find it out: [o'pi]? ['opai]? anything else?.
