The result of the move request was: Withdrawn by nominator, copy paste error, apologies In ictu oculi (talk) 06:14, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Eugene Zimmerman → Eugène Zimmerman – See below EdJohnston (talk) 04:29, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Proposed by User:In ictu oculi at WP:RM/TR because of 'WP:FRMOS, sources'.
- Oppose: Though Zimmermann was born in Switzerland, his professional reputation was gained in the United States where he does not seem to have used a grave accent. The mentions of Zimmermann that are found by Google refer to him without the accent. One of the Google hits, a book by Albert Faust, refers to him as of German birth or descent. If that's the case one can speculate he was born as Eugen Zimmermann. There is nothing visible in Google Books to give details about his birth. EdJohnston (talk) 04:29, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose – The Anglicized name seems well established. Dicklyon (talk) 05:38, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
