Eponymous subspecies
editThe subspecies Eumecia anchietae wittei Laurent, 1964, is almost certainly named in honor of Belgian herpetologist Gaston-François de Witte. However, I have not added this to the article because I have no citation. Beolens et al. (2011) don't mention it, and I don't have access to Laurent (1964). Perhaps someone could find a copy of Laurent 1964, see if Laurent provides an explanation, and add the etymology to this article. Lyttle-Wight (talk) 10:53, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
