"changing places in Europe"
editSince the last five EFs (including 2008's) all have German locations, is "changing places" really accurate any more? It's more of a "Germanyfurence" these days. Loganberry (Talk) 14:15, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, especially all these years later, this information is completely outdated. Eurofurence now stays at the same location for years, moving when they outgrow their current space. The mention that "are remaining in Berlin" is also outdated, as they are moving to Hamburg for the 2023 edition. I would update this myself, but I see the article is protected (understandably so, looking at the amount of vandalism the last month) MrEvers (talk) 20:13, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Developing this article
editI'd like to rate this higher, but I have a hard time seeing these lists as "substantial" content. Surely there is more that could be said? GreenReaper (talk) 01:45, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe we could improve the article by removing the lists and rewrite them as plaintext (lists are discouraged after all). Maybe we could merge some of the Wikifur articles about the single events into WP, producing a single timeline, rather than various lists. Just some ideas when looking at the Burning Man or the Anime Expo-article. What do you think? --Yamavu (talk) 14:37, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Seems reasonable. If we use specific text content from WikiFur, the {{WikiFur}} template is required for GFDL attribution. If good references can be found for the information, that would be a bonus. GreenReaper (talk) 15:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Here's some more media coverage for 2008. GreenReaper (talk) 10:55, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- The article on WikiFur has had a major rewrite and now contains a lot more information, although not all of it may be appropriate for Wikipedia. And I don't know if it would be possible to copy it, legally. But it's probably worth looking at. CodeCat (talk) 12:18, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
- It is possible, however notification to readers that WikiFur content has been used under CC-BY-SA would be required. You could modify a copy of {{GearWiki}} for this purpose. Note that WikiFur has an interwiki, [[WikiFur:...]]. GreenReaper (talk) 22:40, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
