About including list of events

@Randykitty: thanks for the edits. You removed the list of conferences, mentioning that "list of conferences belongs on their own website". However, I think that such information brings value, especially when the proceedings are linked and open-access. Furthermore, it's actually common for conference pages to feature a list of events / locations. Please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS (less reverently aka WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS). Those horrible articles that you mention (especially those violating WP:MOSFLAG) should have their lists removed, too.
