Assessment
editI have assessed this article as a Stub, as it only contains the basic information on the subject, and of low importance, as I do not feel that many people outside of Canada would be familiar with the subject of this article. Cheers, CP 17:30, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Need to change the article so as not to imply a truth when it has not been proven.... so:
"On June 9, 2015, Solomon was fired from CBC for allegedly taking secret commissions for brokering art sales of items owned by his friend and art collector Bruce Bailey to people he was connected to through his CBC position.[5] This allegation has yet to be proven." Media
editWhy is the media not giving the real people on the ground in Ottawa proper coverage. It’s pretty sad when independent media is covering the real story while ctv and cbc protect the PM who has caused all of Canadians problems. Only interested in his own agenda. I get that they pay the bills. The truth is what Canadians want. Justin has done all of this. Please cover the real story and trying to make it a conservative problem when in fact it is the liberal problem across Canada. Where is our PM and our leader of all people in Canada. We are all immigrants in this country. Only First Nations are the only Canadians. Yet he spends money around the world while our citizens suffer. How will we pay the debt. Oh I know More Tax. I’m saddened as I see how the media can control what the public see. Thank god for social media and independent media. Freeze the finds on go fund me for this. Mean while cities in the states were brined looted and police officers were killed and go fund me gave them all the money raised for BLM. Come on Evan I used to believe in you. Not so sure anym 142.165.139.164 (talk) 21:57, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
Protest
editHi Evan, I feel that I need to tell you this. First of all let me tell you about myself, I am a recently retired police officer in Ontario of 31 years. I appreciate the work you have done with fair investigative journalism. I cannot say that about other journalists on your network or others. I watched you for most of the day on Friday in Ottawa. First off, I believe it was time for the trucks to leave, however in saying that, the number one tactic in policing is to be proactive. Yet our PM decided not to be proactive and discuss anything with anyone, instead he opted to hide out, throw insults at law abiding Canadians and ultimately invoked the emergencies act. How this person can accuse anyone of being racist, misogynist, nazi sympathizer is beyond me. He has demonstrated in the past all of the despicable traits, yet he hides like the coward he is. Today I was embarrassed to be a retired police officer, not for the actions of the officers but for the actions of the federal and provincial leaders in this province, who have done zero to even try and alleviate this protest / occupation. Thank you Jeff Evans 72.53.246.15 (talk) 23:10, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
Evan
editI am an avid news watcher, I maybe dismissed as just another supporter, anti vax person or whatever. My grammar may not appear to be to your standard. But you sir , have done awesome in your quest to get answers from our leaders has been great. However , the lack of coverage from you and others until the end of the so named freedom convoy is a huge dissatisfaction to your listeners. I in my opinion see that you only take the action of real reporter duties only resulted in today’s events. You had lots of options to report on this story from the ground before today Speak to people , show real stories of people and so on I will never watch this channel again 2604:3D08:3586:E000:8969:AA69:CA98:F50C (talk) 08:34, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

The lede is wrong by saying Solomon is "leaving broadcast journalism". He will continue in broadcast journalism as a "special correspondent" for CTV News. Canadian Press reports "CTV’s owner Bell Media said Solomon will continue to “report regularly” on Canadian politics and global affairs as a special correspondent for the network."[ https://toronto.citynews.ca/2022/10/03/evan-solomon-ctv/]
1) Please change: "Before leaving broadcast journalism at the end of 2022 for a publishing position with GZERO Media in New York City," to: "Until October 2022, when he moved to New York City to accept a publishing position with GZERO Media,[1]"
2) and please add a new paragraph to the end of the lede:
"Solomon continues with CTV News as a "special correspondent" reporting on Canadian politics and global affairs."[1] 199.119.233.164 (talk) 12:07, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
