I support the merge. It shouldn't really be an issue. --DrBat 05:12, 10 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Do not merge this page. The Excalibur article is long enough and this series needs a freah start.

Genosha Excalibur

edit

Did that series even use the name at all in the stories? AFAIK (I did not read the series) no one in the stories proper ever used that name for anything at all; there _is_ no Excalibur in the 2004 Excalibur series. Worth a mention in the article if that is so.Luis Dantas 08:24, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Objectivity

edit

The article seems to contain several non-objective terms. "...and the series began to flag badly." "In a jarring transition..." "...failed to find a voice for the series." Etc. I think this could and should be written in a NPOV voice. JdRavnos 20:06, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Excalibur vol 3.jpg

edit

Image:Excalibur vol 3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:Excalibur1.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --00:13, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image issues

edit

The fair use of image:Excalibur 1.jpg in this article is questionable. Listed below is/are the reason(s) for this:
Minimal use: As few non-free content uses as possible are to be included in each article and in Wikipedia as a whole. Full policy

Even used within the body of the article, this is duplicating the infobox image purpose — what the "new/current" team looks like.

If the above concern(s) can be addressed in light of the relevant policies and/or guidelines, the image use can be retained. If not, the image needs to be removed from the article.

The issue with Excalibur 1.jpg has been addressed.

File:Newexcalibur.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

edit

An image used in this article, File:Newexcalibur.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 21 September 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review
