Several websites have the following as the correct version of the Fatima Prayer:

"O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need."

The Portuguese is:

"Ó meu Jesus! Perdoai-nos e livrai-nos do fogo do inferno. Levai as almas todas para o céu e socorrei principalmente as que mais precisarem." Mstarcoder 03:26, 21 February 2006 (UTC) MstarcoderReply

If people dont mind me butting in. In fairness i think this article should at least mention the other prayers of Fatima, as there were seven of them that came out of the Fatima Aparitions. It probably should also be mentioned that the prayers themselves were originally in Portugese and then translated into English and Latin. Ithillion 11:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

As to the above, and the questions over the correct form of the Fatima prayer. Lucia herself was asked directly this question on Monday, July 15, 1946. In the convent of the Dorothean Sisters at Vilar, the Church granted an audience with William Walsh, the author of the book "Our Lady of Fatima" ISBN 0-385-02869-5 published by Doubleday. The author had asked permission to ask Lucia some clarifing questions regarding the Apparitions, one of which was the Fatima Prayer. The account of which is in the book "Our Lady of Fatima" on page 220. I copy the text here directly from the book: "In many books about Fatima, the prayer Our Lady asked you to say after the decades of the Rosary is given in some such form as this: 'O my Jesus, pardon our sins, save us from the fires of hell, have mercy on the souls in Purgatory, especially the most abandoned.' is that correct?" "No, it is not," she replied positively. "The correct form is the one I have written in my account of the apparition on July 13: 'O my Jesus, pardon us, and save us from the fire of hell; draw all souls to heaven, especially those in most need." "O meu Jesus, perdoai-nos e livrai nos do fogo do inferno; levai as alminhas todas para o Céu, principalmente aquelas que mais precisarem."

As Lucia herself clarified the exact wording of the Prayer, I fail to understand why it is still misrepresented on the Wiki page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.184.112.157 (talk) 22:02, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Interesting discussion on the Latin version of the prayer here by some fairly knowledgeable folks. Nothing conclusive, though. Rwflammang (talk) 00:34, 10 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
