Murray Rothbard: "Dean of the Austrian School"
editI read that and laughed a little bit. But I think that should be edited; that title could be misleading to people unfamiliar with the Austrian school of economics and other economic schools of thought. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.69.75.14 (talk) 21:40, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Problematic sourcing
editI'm attempting to clean up the sourcing in this article, but am having some difficulty as I don't currently have access to all of the sources cited. A few lines I was able to check however, seem to sometimes include information that isn't in the reference. If anyone has access to the other sources referenced, it would be appreciated if they could check through the lines they are supposed to reference. There seem to be some examples of somewhat convoluted referencing overkill, and we should narrow these references down to prefer to use the ones that are accessible and confirmed to be reliable for the information they reference. - Point taken, but note that I didn't suggest that less accessible sources not be included, rather that accessible ones saying the same thing should be preferred, which I think isn't unreasonable. My main concern was that a couple of the things that I was able to check were
incorrectnot supported by the provided references. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 22:40, 28 March 2013 (UTC)- I know for a fact that I have copy and pasted a citation to the wrong place, more than once, so I would not at all be surprised if this article has some of that. By all means, correct anything that is out of place. Although, "referencing overkill" or "citation overkill" is a myth. Some consider multiple citations a detriment to easy reading. That can easily be fixed with citation bundling so as to not delete valid references. Now, if the references are not valid, then delete away. --Abel (talk) 17:18, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- I see that I destroyed some of the refs with my attempted cleanup - apologies! I'll try to go over them again when I've got a little time in the near future. I agree that they are cleaner/more useful when bundled. Thanks, and cheers. AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 19:21, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
