The year of establishment of the team should be 1971, in the rankings on the site romaniansoccer.ro, Gloria Buzau, appears as the winner of series five of the 3rd League. https://www.romaniansoccer.ro/divizia_c/tables/C1971-72.shtml — Preceding unsigned comment added by Florin1977 (talkcontribs) 07:47, 25 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

FC Gloria Buzau went bankrupt in 2016

edit

FC Gloria Buzau went bankrupt in 2016. After that FC Buzau was founded and now plays in Liga 2. In 2017 a new club was founded, SCM Gloria Buzau, which incorporated FC Buzau, alongside other sports teams. In 2021, FC Buzau split from SCM Gloria Buzau in order to be able to gain promotion, legally speaking. They are called FC Buzau and have the FC Buzau, but SCM Gloria Buzau allows them to use the name "Gloria Buzau" for non-commercial purposes. The club is not in any way connected and doesn't want to be associated with bankrupt FC Gloria Buzau, as stated multiple times by the club.

The page name should be changed to FC Gloria Buzau (1971)

edit

This is to avoid any confusion with other teams with similar names. The Romanian page has the same name. Smokeybz (talk) 21:58, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

This page is about the football club that was dissolved in 2016

edit

Current club commonly known as "Gloria Buzau" is actually named FC Buzau and has a separate page. FC Buzau is founded in 2016 and has nothing to do with old FC Gloria Buzau as stated on FC Buzau's website https://asfcbuzau.ro/index.php/despre-noi/ 5.15.234.212 (talk) 13:18, 17 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
