Andrés Vasquez
editJust a question about Vasquez. By international football terms, is he a Swedish or Peruvian player? I know was born in Lima and grew up in Sweden. Since he has played sevral under 21 games for the Swedish national team, should he not be "Swedish"? (I am not trying to take anything away from his Peruvian identity)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.203.182.109 (talk) 16:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Supporters section
editMy opinion about the bias of this section corresponds with that of Fischbach. I think it was wrong however, to delete it in its entirety. This section is part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs. It therefore has a clear right to exist. Wwicki 09:39, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Wwicki. I've deleted the whole section because it was misused several times in the last couple of weeks and got tired of all the clearings/undos. If you would like to contribute to this section please work seriously with the original now restored version. Fischbach 14:58, 28 December 2006
You have to either elaborate on the history between the two clubs or remove the part about which club belongs to the urban city area more. The statement is biased. Wikipedia is not the place to spread an opinion of a special group of people and state it as a fact. Because it is not a fact. 212.101.25.147 13:10, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
First of all,I recommend that you bdon't make already discussed and analyzed changes before consulting the talk page (especially as an unregistered user). This is not an official rule but it comes along well with other users.
If you think the "urban vs sub-urban" bit is biased, then you have to ask yourself if the statment about social classes isn't. Both statements are categorizing football supporters. You only deleted the bottom bit even though the top bit could be just as "biased". You are therefore putting in your opinion which you yourself have no proof is true. May I tell you that multiple users added to this statement? Wwicki 16:59, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Fanclubs section
editAlmost all articles on football clubs have links to fanclubs. To include them is part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs guidelines. I would recommend to everyone who disagrees to their inclusion, to do the following: Request a change here at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Clubs. For now, they can be included.Wwicki 12:14, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Agreed as well. The were by mistake deleted in the above mentioned clearing of the "Supporters" section. .Fischbach 14:58, 28 December 2006
Move article
editIMO this article should be moved to FC Zürich. -- Firefox13 21:01, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Player Records
editThis section has been repeatedly added back in contravention of WP:V. Is anyone able to provide a precise source for these stats and include it in the article? I have tagged this as unreferenced. I propose to remove the stats finally if they are not sourced within the next two weeks. Fenix down (talk) 12:01, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
I'd like to excuse myself for the various reverts of editings in the notable players section: Since this section existed for years without major editing I was confused when it suddenly vanished. So I tried to come up with a new structure more in the sense of Fenix down afterwards. The missing correct sources for the new Player Records section are: scorers -> http://www.dbfcz.ch/topx.php?x=10&art=tore most capped players -> http://www.dbfcz.ch/topx.php?x=10&art=einsaetze dbfcz.ch is the most accurate database we have for FC Zürich games/players. It is used by the club itself, Swiss media etc. as a reference. I will add the sources as soon as the section is unblocked. Fischbach (talk) 09:42, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Fenix down, are you fine with this suggestion? If yes, I may unprotect the article. --Leyo 11:30, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks Leyo, and one more time sorry to Fenix down for the 'hassle' that errupted around this site - that was not my intention! I would also suggest some corrections to the new Hall of Fame section (which was not brought up by me): Some player names are not linked to their correct Wiki pages (f.e. Hans/Joan Gamper, Louis Maurer). In this Hall of Fame, founded by the FC Zürich museum, there is also a mix of former FC Zürich players and managers. And I would suggest to get the names there in alphabetical order. Fischbach (talk) 12:07, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Seems fine to me. I have no problem with those sources being used and the page unprotected. Sorry for not speaking to you first Fischbach, I should have done before removing but got carried away what with unreferenced stats and seemingly random lists of notable players being a major problem across a lot of football club articles.
