Bold names in "Awards"
editWhy are the names "Adriano," "David," "William," and "Santamaría" in the Awards section bolded? Akrabbim 01:26, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- It's analogous to, for example, "Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima" - many footballers, especially those from Portuguese-speaking countries, are known by only 1 given name. – ugen64 02:20, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Name change
editFIFA changed this event:
I know FIFA changed both the U-17 and U-20 tournaments to "U-17 World Cup" and "U-20 World Cup" beginning next year. they are no longer called "World Championships" Check FIFA.com
- I moved this page to its new title. For discussion, go to Talk:FIFA#Rebranding_of_championships. --Gabbec 06:27, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

2019 Podium vandalism
editSomeone keeps changing the 2019 edition details in the results section (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_U-17_World_Cup#FIFA_U-17_World_Cup) — in some parallel universe Argentina beat France in the final, with Canada and New Zealand coming third and fourth... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a00:23c6:7492:f600:9842:ea76:78ec:3afc (talk) 23:07, 19 Spetember 2020 (UTC)
- I have notified WP:RPP of this matter. Here is a diff of my reasoning for protection request, but this same message will be copied here as well.
- An anonymous editor, all IPs of which originate out of Tangerang, Indonesia, began vandalizing with changes to flags here, in 2 edits. All of this users' edits, based in the same location, either have the same content as or are a derivative of the falsified information in this edit. One more attempt by the vandal to restore their version of the article was made in April before their edit warring behavior and subsequent page protections began in September. I have notified WP:FOOTY of this behavior twice already; one is already archived at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 135#U-17 World Cup article vandalism, and I just notified the same WikiProject of this behavior at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#False info on FIFA U-17 World Cup. To all watchers of this page: please be wary of this vandal pattern, and restore any good faith edits between the first case of vandalism back in 22 January and today where necessary. Thanks for all assistance. Jalen Folf (talk) 03:13, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- This vandal now has an LTA page since April 2021. See Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Jakarta Goat vandal. Jalen Folf (talk) 02:24, 18 April 2023 (UTC)

- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Liu1126 (talk) 23:01, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
