Too much editorializing
editI tagged the article for POV as there seems to be too much editorializing in the prose. It is best to stick to the facts and not say whether it is "good" or "bad". 147.70.242.40 (talk) 17:46, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
This article is the biggest piece of crap I ever read. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.129.183.150 (talk) 20:18, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
This article needs *a lot* of work by someone more knowledgeable on the subject than I. It reads like a bad 5th grade paper. I could correct the grammar and prose, remove all the POV, but there's no point, it needs a complete rewrite. 71.59.213.116 (talk)
This article is pretty much awful. It appears that the original author tried to come across as highbrow and intellectual in his description of FIU Football, but the result is awkwardly worded, plagued by misspellings and incorrect word choices, and less than NPOV. I agree with above the a complete rewrite is needed. 161.154.235.101 (talk) 14:45, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:FIUGoldenPanthers.png
editThe image Image:FIUGoldenPanthers.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

NPOV dispute and unverified claims
editThe Division I-A section of the article sounds like a personal commentary more than a researched description of what Division I-A was like for FIU. It needs to verify all its claims, lose the comments, and be cleaned up massively. Digx (talk) 21:32, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
There is only one footnote in the whole article and that is on the last two sentences. Other than that the entire article is not sourced and is full of opinions and personal observations. If this article is to remain published under wikipedia, it needs to be changed completely. Without being properly sourced, who knows what is a fact, what is an opinion or what information is plain wrong. I'm sure there are plenty of facts but they aren't sourced. Most of the article reads like it was written for a newspaper column by a local journalist. Comments like this; "Strock had been a mediocre coach and obviously wasn’t up to the challenge of forming a strong team" is nothing but personal observation and opinion. I'm not challenging whether its true or not, finding a source for that comment would be very difficult. This is not a venue for personal opinions.--Jatblue (talk) 16:13, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
