WTF

edit

As this is an article about manufacturer FujiGen, why is it mostly a collection of Other Japanese OEM Guitar Manufacturers?

I was about to make the same remark!
It is weird indeed; I propose to delete that section, or to move it to an article Japanese OEM Guitar Manufacturers. Muijz (talk) 11:51, 13 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am also here to suggest that the list of Japanese OEM Guitar Manufacturers be moved to its own page. It's very interesting, so I think it should not be deleted. BrianWilloughby (talk) 02:09, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Agree, I have suggested this on Wikipedia:Requested_articles/music#J-Z because I am not able to make the page myself. There's plenty of content here, and there is more information on some of the mfrs eg. Tokai that can be added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4B00:87FF:9B00:D2C:C22:5A1E:3A65 (talk) 14:10, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Muijz:, @BrianWilloughby:, @Weeb Dingle:, I noticed your conversation while assessing the article. I added a split tag, a necessary step prior to splitting an article. Do you still want the article split? Jacqke (talk) 12:39, 24 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Jacqke:, @Muijz:, @BrianWilloughby:, @Weeb Dingle:, I agree that the table of other manufacturers should be broken out into a separate list. I would recommend this article be called List of Japanese OEM Guitar Manufacturers. Since there doesn't appear to be much dissent on this topic, I'm happy to create the new page and I will try to do so in the next week or so if no one objects. In the meantime I'll try to improve the list and add sources so that it will be ready to stand alone. — DeeJayK (talk) 17:33, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think that should be fine. Jacqke (talk) 21:03, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Per this discussion, I've split the bulk of the contents of the "Other Japanese OEM Guitar Manufacturers" section to a new List of Japanese OEM Guitar Manufacturers article. I've left a brief summary of the content with a link to the new article. — DeeJayK (talk) 16:51, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, @Deejayk. BrianWilloughby (talk) 10:28, 19 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
