Inconsistent date formatting

edit

The player now plays for the American Men's team and so his formatting should probably be changed to "Month Day, Year" format per WP:STRONGNAT, but WP:DATERET could be used to argue it should stay at "Day Month Year" format. If you want it one way or the other, I can make the change with a single click. Please let me know. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:15, 2 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have a slight preference for dmy, but I could live with also with mdy, as long as it is consistent. --Jaellee (talk) 04:17, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
He's both American and German. That's why his nationality is not listed in the lede. I'm not sure @Joeykai: has seen this discussion, but DMY is how it should stay. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:47, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
He is American. I see no reason why it should stay incorrect. Joeykai (talk) 05:50, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I see. He's also German, having been born there and playing his entire life there. That's a pretty good reason. Also, consensus seems to argue against the change. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:57, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Picture request

edit

Can someone please change the picture of him. Not only is it an awful picture, but he doesn't play for that team, or even in that league, anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.70.113.242 (talk) 20:48, 26 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

do you have an image that we can use? Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:10, 26 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sure, but unfortunately I don't know how to post it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.70.113.242 (talk) 20:09, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Make sure it's not copyrighted. That usually means has not been published elsewhere. There are a few exceptions to that list but for the most part, if you took the picture yourself, you can upload it and in doing so, relinquish all rights to compensation for the file. If it's been part of a news story or other publication, it's probably copyrighted. See Help:Files for details on the rest. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:38, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the info. How do I go about uploading the actual image, though? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.70.113.242 (talkcontribs)

Oh, nevermind. I just saw that you directed me to Help:Files "for the rest." I appreciate it. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.70.113.242 (talkcontribs)

Didn't Johnson appear in league play for his club last week? Why not mark that appearance? Why the "really?" response to an honest update? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.70.113.242 (talkcontribs)
