Flammability of Fabrikoid
editCan anyone find a reliable source about the flammability of Fabrikoid and whether this is the type of leatherette implicated in the fire at the Cocoanut Grove nightclub in Boston, Massachusetts on November 28th 1942 killing 492, mentioned in this video at 10:25? Most references I find to Fabrikoid describe it as a fabric that underwent some of the described processing and was then often substituted for leather. The current entry seems to conflate its role as a substitute with an attempt at emulating the aesthetic and tactile properties of natural leather, which seems inaccurate.
