Singular or plural of fady
editI've been looking over this article which I wrote some time back. It occurs to me that I've assumed the Malagasy plural of fady to be the same as the singular (cf "Fady, in Malagasy culture, refers to a wide range of cultural prohibitions or taboos."). This may indeed be correct, but I would appreciate it if someone with a knowledge of the Malagasy language could confim it! —Brigade Piron (talk) 10:15, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Brigade Piron, you're correct. In general, plurals in Malagasy are indicated by the pronoun in front of it (ny = singular "the", ry = plural "the" etc), so you've got it right. :) - Lemurbaby (talk) 21:13, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
