- Fayoum SC → Faiyum SC
- Fayoum University → Faiyum University
- Fayoum Stadium → Faiyum Stadium
- Fayoum Light Railway → Faiyum Light Railway
– Requesting speedy renaming to match the name of the city, which is Faiyum. Ben5218 (talk) 11:33, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- As proper nouns the spelling of these does not necessarily coincide with the name of the city. Are these things actually referred to using "Faiyum"? Dekimasuよ! 18:50, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Dekimasu: Yes, but in Arabic. Not all of these have an official way of spelling in English, except the university, which is referred to mostly as Fayoum University rather than Faiyum University. About the rest however, I did some searching after I proposed this renaming, and I haven't found many results in English about them. Only few that mentioned them in English and they're using both Fayoum and Faiyum. Ben5218 (talk) 08:55, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

- Support per nom; there are always discrepancies in spellings following transliteration from Arabic, and it makes sense to have a standard and match the parent article name. GiantSnowman 16:02, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
